Time flies and then you don't update your blog. (cue Rachel) Well it was a fun week for us. l My mom and April returned from London. They had a great time. On the fourth, our neighborhood has a little parade escorted by police and firetrucks. Then they have a big breakfast down at the church. They started pretty early, so just Jayson and Hudson went. Hudson had a great time riding
his trike and seeing the firetruck. I opted to stay home and sleep:). That night we went to my parents house to welcome home my mom and April and had a BBQ. We didn't stay too late, cause the twins were ready to be in bed. No fireworks as well so we were pretty boring. The twins turned 1 on Thursday and we had a fun BBQ bday party for them. They had more fun with the wrapping paper than the actual presents, of course. They were completely spoiled and it is exciting to move up a level in the toy dept. Thank you to everyone who came, and we missed those that couldn't make it. Does anyone know what happened to the birthday cake? After I was done serving the cake and ice cream, we still had about half of the cake left-and at the end of the night, it was gone. I didn't think that we had eaten it all. If anyone knows, please let me know-to cure my curiosity. It really was strange. The babies had their 1 year checkup on Friday afternoon. All of the sudden, Bridger had a rash and so we discovered that he is mildly
allergic to penicillin. So his ear infection was healing nice and he went off of his medicine. Our doctor said that he can't have any penicillin for 2-3 years and then they can see if he can handle it or not. Interesting, since he has had about 4 ear infections, and this is the first time he had a problem. Poor kid, he has just been picked on lately- it seems. They had their shots and did pretty well. They cried of course, but then the nurse pulled out a sucker, and they quit crying right away. They have never had a sucker before, so it was a treat. By the time I dropped my mom off, they were the biggest sticky mess you have ever seen. We wiped them off there before going home. Bridger even had sticky eyelids. It was funny, but so gross. Jayson and I went to Transformers that night. GREAT movie. It was sooo funny. We highly recommend it. Sure, it has cheesy lines at moments, but it was really good and had awesome special effects. Saturday we had dinner up in the canyon with my dad's side of the family. We brought the twins eating chairs and that worked out great.
They have these huge picnic tables up there and they sat and munched while we ate and talked. Hudson played with the other little boys his age and they had fun making cucumber boats and floating them down the little stream that was right there. I had so much fun talking to my cousins. We need to all get together more. I have gotten them hooked on digital scrapbooking. It is great to not be the only one super excited about it. ;) We are going to my parents house for dinner tonight. Should be fun, as always. Hope you all have a great one!
